Comelec Chairman George Garcia said they are looking at some 320 aspirants to submit their COCs until the filing period deadline on Thursday.
"We expect at least 10 (COCs) filed for each district," he said in a telephone interview.
A total of 32 parliamentary district representatives will be elected during the BPE set on Sept. 14.
These are four seats for Basilan, nine seats for Lanao del Sur, five for Maguindanao del Norte, five for Maguindanao del Sur, four for Tawi-Tawi, three for Cotabato City, and two for the Special Geographic Area.
Under Comelec Resolution No. 11216, the COCs shall be filed from May 5 to 7 with the Bangsamoro Electoral Office.
On Tuesday, the first day of the filing period, the Comelec reported that a total of 22 COCs were filed across different parliamentary districts. (PNA)
