The filing period of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the District Representatives in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections (BPE) will begin on Tuesday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Monday.
In a statement, the poll body said the filing of COCs will run until May 7, for those seeking to be elected as District Representatives.
Candidates may file their COCs at the poll body's offices in their area from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Aside from the filing of COCs, the Comelec will be accepting the filing of a consolidated list of nominees by coalitions during the same period.
The poll body also reminded the public that the deadline for the submission of official logos of Regional Parliamentary Political Parties (RPPPs) and Coalitions and submission of photos of candidates for District Representatives and First Nominees for Sectoral Representatives is on May 7 via e-mail at [email protected].
On May 8, the Commission will start the filing period for the Petition for Accreditation for the Purpose of Determining the Dominant Majority Regional Parliamentary Political Party, Dominant Minority Regional Parliamentary Political Party, and 10 Major Regional Parliamentary Political Parties. The deadline is set on May 15.
BPE voters will elect 32 Bangsamoro District Representatives on Sept. 14. (PNA)
