Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, April 22, warned the public against fraudulent social media posts falsely claiming that she and her family are giving away cash prizes online.
In a Facebook advisory, Duterte expressed concern over misleading content circulating from groups such as “Duterte Legacy,” stressing that these supposed giveaways are scams.

We are concerned about the continued spread of social media groups such as Duterte Legacy that falsely claim that I and my family are giving away prizes),” Duterte said.
The Vice President also clarified that neither she nor the Office of the Vice President (OVP) is conducting any form of raffle, giveaway, or financial distribution through mobile e-wallets or any digital platforms.
The Office of the Vice President, and I myself, do not give out prizes through mobile e-wallets or any platform),” she added.
Duterte urged the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious posts to authorities or platform moderators, and avoid engaging with potential scams. She emphasized the importance of protecting personal and financial information.
Do not believe these posts, and avoid giving information that scammers may use for their activities),” she added.
The warning reinforces recent OVP alerts about individuals impersonating the Vice President or fraudulently using Duterte’s name in online scams.
