CEBU CITY – Two men were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sambag I here on Thursday afternoon, April 16.

Raffy, a 37-year-old food vendor, and Harold, a 28-year-old janitor, were caught possessing 21 packs of suspected shabu worth P3 million when they were cornered by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas (PDEA-7).

Alcantara said it took a three-week case build-up before the efforts to arrest the two men were realized.

Based on the report reaching the PDEA-7, the two suspects were capable of selling one kilo of shabu a week in different areas in Cebu, said Alcantara.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects.

Alcantara said sale of dangerous drugs carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment and up to P10 million in fines.
