CEBU CITY – A construction worker was found dead in a man-made lagoon inside a golf club here on Tuesday night, April 7.
Police identified the victim as Ryan Ardina Jermino, 27, of Barangay Guba, Cebu City.
Police said Jermino was one of the workers of Netforce International contracted to renovate the golf course on Gov. Cuenco Ave. in Barangay Kasambagan.
Investigation conducted by the Mabolo Police Station said the victim decided to wash up at the lagoon at around 6 p.m.
Jermino did not return, prompting colleagues
to alert the club security guard. The security guard found Jermino's slippers floating in the lagoon.
The security guard called the Special Rescue Force of the Bureau of Fire Protection which found the victim’s body in a 13-foot-deep area of the lagoon. The victim’s body was recovered at around 9 p.m. and was longer responsive. His body will be autopsied as part of the investigation, police said.
