A young man, Kenneth Earl Medrano, "That’s My Bae" 2015 grand winner, has openly admitted he has lost one of his two balls to cancer.
Kenneth was diagnosed with testicular cancer, for which he underwent an operation recently. The testicles found in men produce sperm and testosterone, or the male hormone.
The actor-dancer said getting to a decision to remove one of his testicles was extremely difficult. It was a choice, he said, between living in constant fear of forthcoming death and continuing to live in peace.
Kenneth chose life.
Google says testicular cancer is a highly treatable, often curable, cancer that forms in the testicles, primarily affecting males aged 15 to 35. The most common symptom is a painless lump, swelling, or, in some cases, discomfort in the scrotum. Treatment often involves surgery, sometimes followed by chemotherapy, with a high success rate.
Can a man still father children after he has lost one testicle?
Dr. Google says, yes. “Physiologically, the remaining testis typically compensates for the absence of the other, continuing to produce hormones and sperm. Individuals with only one testis can still father children, although fertility may be slightly reduced.”
Kenneth made public his operation to create awareness of testicular cancer and its cure. He also stands by his doctor’s word that even with just one testicle left, he can still father children.

Donny Pangilinan is a modern-day hero.
His latest feat is granting a three-peso discount on diesel price, currently pegged at over 100 pesos as of this writing, at the family-owned Shell service station in South Forbes, Silang, Cavite.
The initiative, a joint effort between Donny and his father, Anthony Pangilinan, is meant to help motorists cope with the ever-rising cost of oil products. With this announcement, which started on March 17, the Pangilinans are prioritizing community support over maximizing profits during this time of crisis.
Donny’s humanitarian efforts have not gone unnoticed. Remember the time, I believe it was last year or the year prior, when he donated one million pesos to his pre-school during a visit?
After having watched a poor vendor narrating his day-to-day struggles to make both ends meet on It’s Showtime, the ABS-CBN actor immediately contacted Vice Ganda. He sent 300,000 pesos to the contestant.
May God bless Donny Pangilinan and others like him in entertainment who share their blessings with the less fortunate, making them truly worthy of public support. May Donny’s star shine brighter and brighter in the coming years.
