In my years in showbiz (wow, beterana?!), I would meet newbies who still hold other jobs even though their ultimate dream is to become a famous actor. (with or without a video scandal?!) They don't want to rely on what the industry can offer. (bilang minsan naman talaga matumal!) They want a regular income outside showbiz (para di nganga!), just like my recent guests on our YouTube Channel, WTFu. (na siempre alam nyo na, mga palaban!)
23-year-old John Albuero works as a cook at a bar in Laguna (masarap ba, bro? ang luto mo!) but also accepts acting roles in teleseryes and indie films. He has appeared on streaming platforms Vivamax and TbonX. (at marami na raw siyang ipinakita ... na talent!)
“Opo, nagpapasexy po ako. Usually, ipinapakita ko ang katawan at yung buong likod. Wag lang po talaga yung harap. At kailangan po talaga nakaplaster," John says. (ay out of stock daw mga plaster. may pumakyaw!)
One of his most recent projects is "Sirena” on Vivamax: "Mangingisda ako doon. Isa po ako sa mga lalaking nanghalay dun sa bidang sirena. Puro po sya kaliskis. Wala po siyang buntot. Nahuli siya ng isang kasama namin sa dagat." (so inalis talaga ang buntot ng sirena sa Vivamax ha!)
John may be daring in accepting roles, but he also has his limitations. "Ayaw ko po ng BL. Nasa restriction ko po 'yon. Kahit pa sabihin natin na trabaho lang po ’yon, ayaw ko lang po na may masasabi ’yung mga tao." (gustuhin mo BL, basta ako partner mo, bro!)
20-year-old Magi Cruz, on the other hand, makes himself busy with his own poultry farm when there are no showbiz commitments. (may 200 na manok daw! daming eggs!!)
“Nakita ko po sa mom and stepdad ko, na humahanggo sila ng itlog sa farm ng iba. Naisip ko, what if sa amin mismo yung farm, mas magiging maganda ang kita. Kaya pagpursigihan naming magkaroon ng sarili namin," Magi shares. (puwede magpa-deliver sa'yo, bro?!)
Magi recently appeared on the streaming app, Cinepop. “Supporting role ako dun. Pinaghubad ako dun kasi yun yung kailangan.” (so dedma sa lines, basta naghubad!)
He is more than willing to take any role, even if it requires full nudity. “Basta may opportunity, bibigyan ko ng oras, kasi pangarap ko ’yan. Kahit pa maghubad ulit. Harap, likod ko, ok lang.” (ay, all out at all the way ang koya mo!)
