SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The provincial government of La Union is implementing a four-day work week in all offices beginning Monday, March 9.
The temporary schedule to conserve energy due to the Middle East conflict complies with Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 114 and Executive Order No. 5 issued by the provincial government.
Offices under the provincial government will operate from Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday will be a non-working day.
Provincial officials said the adjusted work arrangement aims to improve efficiency in government operations while supporting energy conservation efforts.
Essential services – health, disaster response, and security – will continue regular schedules to ensure uninterrupted public service.
Residents with transactions at provincial government offices were advised to plan their visits accordingly.
