WTFu by MR. FU: Paris, the pole dancer

I got the chance to work with actress Ciara Sotto in some events in the past. (pero close ba kami?!) My usual duty was hosting the program, while her role was performing as a pole dancer during intermission. (baka ayaw ni Alvin Aragon nyan!) She would always arrive with her own pole and small stage. (bitbit ng mga assistants!) Her team would set this up hours before her performance. (siempre alangan namang itambak lang sa backstage!)

The audience (including me!) is always amazed by her routine. (ang galing ng ate mo!) She once invited me to try it and train in a studio. She has male friends who are into pole dancing. (well biological males!) I got interested because I know it is a good workout, but I never had the courage to really do it. (baka kung ano gawin ko sa pole!)

I remembered this story because of pole dancer Paris, who recently guested on our YouTube channel, WTFu. (Paris na hindi Hilton at lalong hindi Retiro!)

“Paris ang naisip kong gamiting pangalan bilang performer. Gusto ko kasi ng isang pangalan ng lugar kung saan may love for the arts," Paris explains. (arts pala, puwede naman Angono, Rizal o Paete, Laguna!)

Paris started dancing at a very young age. He was part of several boy groups who were into Techno and hip-hop. When he finally decided to make this his career, a friend suggested a strategy. (pakialamera ba si friend?!)

“Sabi ng kaibigan ko, bakit di raw ako mag-focus sa pole dancing. Bihira raw na lalaki ang gumagawa noon sa event. Kakaiba rin daw ang dating pag pole dancer," Paris recalls. (ay gusto kalabanin si ate mo Ciara!)

He took his friend's advice and focused on pole dancing. “Nung una, nood nood lang, tapos subok subok na. Nagagawa naman pero iba pa rin pag may nagtuturo muna at may tamang training. Kaya yun ginawa ko.” (at kaya raw na tatlong dancer sa isang pole lang ha!)

Paris performs in corporate and private shows. He also gets gigs from films and series. (if need ng gigiling giling!) In many instances, he would receive interesting offers from rich gay men. “Siyempre, after ng performance, may mga lumalapit, pakikipagkilala, may mga offer. Pero professional kasi ako. Minsan may pinagbigyan ako. Mag-shot puno daw ako for 5k! Ginawa ko, pero wasak ako!” (at di na niya sinabi ano ang sumunod na eksena ha!)
