Palace denies Roque's claim Marcos seeking reconciliation with Duterte

Malacañang has belied the claims of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque that President Marcos is seeking to reconcile with Vice President Sara Duterte.
Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro tagged the claim as "another lie."
"Kasinungalingan na naman. Dapat ang iniisip nila ngayon ay serbisyo muna bago pamumulitika (Another lie! They should be thinking about service first before politics)" Castro said, bellying Roque's claim.
Castro also criticized the vice president for believing Roque's claims, which she also labeled as "beauty parlor gossip."
"That is the problem with the Vice President. Mabilis maniwala sa mga 'kwentong beauty parlor' ni Harry Roque na palagi naman source ng fake news (That is the problem with the Vice President. She is quick to believe Harry Roque’s 'beauty parlor stories,' even though he is often a source of fake news)," Castro said.
"Sa sagot na ito ng Bise Presidente na ayaw daw niyang makipag-ayos ay kitang-kita ang tunay niyang kulay (In this response from the Vice President, where she said she does not want to reconcile, her true colors are clearly visible)," Castro added.
The Palace mouthpiece also said that the President "is busy serving the people."
"Ang Pangulo ay busy sa pagserbisyo sa bayan hindi tulad ng iba na nangangampanya na ngayon pa lang. Gumagawa na naman ng sariling kwento para manatiling relevant at para mapag-usapan (The President is busy serving the people, unlike others who are already campaigning this early. Once again, she is creating her own stories just to stay relevant and keep people talking about her)," Castro said.
Durterte has recently announced her plan to run for president in 2028.
