Nunungan, Lanao Del Norte Vice Mayor Marcos Mamay considers showbiz as part of his public service. In addition to serving as an Executive Adviser of the Actors’ Guild of the Philippines, he is the head of Mamay Productions. His team aims to support artists and the broader entertainment industry by producing films, series, and events that elevate the moviegoing public's creative consciousness. (ay may kamalayan?!)

His first venture was the inspirational biopic Mamay: A Journey to Greatness, starring Jeric Raval, which was released in theaters last year. He co-directed it with Direk Neal “Buboy “Tan. It was the most-awarded film at the 73rd FAMAS Awards. (fuma-FAMAS ang vice mayor nyo!)
VM Mamay and Direk Buboy are currently preparing to shoot their next masterpiece, “Kappa-tiran,” topbilled by EJ Falcon, Bembol Roco, Sheryl Cruz, and Patricia Javier. (bet ko si EJ maging leading man!)
“Tungkol ito sa fraternity. Ipapakita namin kung ano ang mga sitwasyon sa pagkakaroon ng isang fraternity,” VM Mamay shares. (ay go ako sa brotherhood kineme!)

The movie is based on research and on the accounts of individuals involved in fraternities. Most scenes will be shot in Metro Manila, but some cast members will fly to Nunungan for specific sequences. (may pa-tour si VM!)

“Isa rin sa gusto natin syempre yung maipakita ang kagandahan ng aming lugar at mas maiangat pa ang aming turismo. Makikita nila yan sa pelikula,” VM Mamay says. (pwede ako Miss Tourism dyan!)
In his recent guest appearance on our online show, Marites University, VM Mamay revealed that they plan to host international screenings and participate in film festivals abroad. (ay join ako sa pang-international! ready ako !)
