Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro (Betheena Unite)
Malacañang is beginning to wonder where the "ratings" of President Marcos are coming from, as they seem not to reflect his work ethic.
Sought for reaction on the recent survey result, which showed that 40 percent were satisfied with the President's performance, Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said surveys should not cause deception on who is really working and who is not.
"Sana po ang mga survey ratings na ito ay hindi magsilbing paglilinlang sa katotohanan kung sino ba talaga ang nagtatrabaho at sino ang hindi (Hopefully, these survey ratings will not serve to distort the truth about who is really working and who is not)," Castro said in a Palace briefing on Friday, Feb. 13.
In the Social Weather Stations (SWS) 2025 fourth quarter survey, the President obtained a lower performance satisfaction rating compared to Vice President Sara Duterte, whose satisfaction rating went up to 52 percent.
"So, kung ang susunod mong katanungan is saan nagmumula ang rating na ito, hinahanap din po namin (So, if you're next question is where does this rating come from, we are also looking into that)," Castro said, when asked if Malacañang believed in the survey results.
"Dahil kahit ano pong maging numero diyan, ang katotohanan, ang Pangulo ang siyang nagtatrabaho at ang ilan ay nagbabakasyon lamang ay hindi po maaaring pasinungalingan ninuman (Because no matter what the numbers may be, the truth is that the President is the one working, while some are just on vacation, and no one can deny that)," Castro added.
The survey was conducted from Nov. 24 to 30 last year.
