CEBU CITY – Was Sean Andrew Pajarillo involved in another hit-and-run incident in the past?
City officials are trying to find this out after reports came out that the fatal Feb. 8 involving the 21-year-old man was the second road crash that he was involved in.
Vice Mayor Tomas Osmeña on Friday, Feb. 13, asked those who can provide information to come forward.
“The most important reason for this meeting is to ask the public in general if they have any information that this is not the first time the person is involved in a hit-and-run. We heard that this may not be the first or second time, but we don’t have details,” Osmeña said in a press conference.
Osmeña said the information that can be gathered about the supposed first incident involving Pajarillo could be used by authorities to build their case. “We have to take positive steps to ensure the people that their safety is protected,” Osmeña said.
Pajarillo was the driver of a Toyota Innova that hit and killed young businessman Kingston Ralph Cheng on Paseo Saturnino Road in Barangay Banilad.
“We just hope it’s not going to happen to somebody else. That really hurts,” Osmeña added.
Pajarillo was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide but posted a P72,000 bail on Friday before the Cebu City Regional Trial Court Branch 17.
