72-year-old woman rammed Matteo Guidicelli's restaurant in Alabang
Police identified the driver responsible for ramming the al fresco area of actor and businessman Matteo Guidicelli’s Italian restaurant in Alabang, Muntinlupa, on Feb. 8.
At about 3:50 p.m., a sport utility vehicle crashed into the Da Gianni Cucina Italiana restaurant at Westgate Hub in Alabang.
Guidicelli uploaded photos of the accident on his Facebook account, showing damaged tables and chairs.
“The damage is limited to part of the restaurant’s exterior. Our interior dining area remains open, while the al fresco side is temporarily closed for safety and repairs,” he said.
The police identified the driver as C. Alcantara, 72, a resident of Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig.
Based on investigation, the police said the vehicle was traveling along Westgate Road when the accident occurred. They said the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into the outdoor space of the restaurant.
The police said Alcantara and two employees of the restaurant were injured in the accident and were taken to the Medical Center Muntinlupa for treatment.
The injured employees were identified as Paul John Rabulan, 25, a resident of Barangay Olaes, in General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite, and Rodel San Antonio, 25, a resident of Molino III, Bacoor, Cavite.
The three suffered injuries in the different parts of their bodies.
