A sport utility vehicle rammed into a restaurant of actor and businessman Matteo Guidicelli in Alabang, Muntinlupa on Feb. 8.
In a Facebook post, Guidicelli said the incident happened at about 4 p.m. at Da Gianni Cucina Italiana restaurant at Westgate Hub in Alabang.
“At around 4:00 PM today, an incident occurred where a vehicle rammed into our al fresco area. We are grateful to share that no guests were injured. All guests had already left by around 1:30 PM, so the area was clear at the time,” said Guidicelli.
He said two restaurant employees were taken to a hospital.
“Two of our staff members were inside the restaurant (pizza oven area) and were immediately brought to the hospital for medical checks. Thankfully, there are no serious injuries, and they are currently being taken care of,” the actor said.
A photo showed an ambulance and a Muntinlupa police car responding to the incident.
He said the car crash damaged the establishment’s exterior and its interior dining area remained open.
“The damage is limited to part of the restaurant’s exterior. Our interior dining area remains open, while the al fresco side is temporarily closed for safety and repairs,” he said.
He added, “This serves as a reminder to all of us! No matter where you are, always stay alert. ‘Watch your six!’ Awareness and prevention are essential. You never know what situation you might find yourself in, so be careful, be ready, and always be aware.”
