Palace: No talks on replacing DOT chief

There is no discussion in Malacañang about replacing Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Frasco, contrary to rumors of a possible movement in the Marcos Cabinet.
"As of now, wala pong pinag-uusapan na ganyan (As of now, there is no discussion about anything like that)," Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a text message on Thursday, Feb. 5.
It came amid speculations that Frasco will be replaced by Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairperson Patrick Gregorio.
The rumors emerged while Frasco is facing criticisms over tourism promotional materials bearing her photo.
She has since directed regional offices to stop producing similar content following criticism that the materials were seen as "self-promotion."
