Voyeur arrested in Cebu City

CEBU CITY – A 22-year-old man was arrested for spying on his female board mate with a hidden camera inside the toilet of a boarding house in Barangay Labangon here.

The 19-year-old woman, a native of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Sur, discovered the presence of the camera on Sunday, morning Jan. 18.

The woman was taking a bath and was shocked that a small object that turned out to be a spy camera was installed inside the toilet. She reported the discovery to the landlord.

Upon checking, the landlord found out that one of the boarders was responsible for the illegal act.

The female boarder reported the discovery to the police who arrested the suspect.

Police said the suspect was charged for violating Republic Act 9995 or Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.
