The initiative was held under the Rizal PPO's “Project PHILEO (Brotherly Love)” at the Covered Court of Camp MGen Licerio I. Geronimo in Taytay, Rizal on Jan. 14.
Recipients included students from Grade 1 to fourth-year high school from different schools in the province.
The Rizal PPO coordinated with schools to identify program beneficiaries, focusing on students whose families need a little extra support for their education.
Through the project, it directly supported students by providing the resources they need to thrive academically and in life.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Acting Chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. lauded the initiative, emphasizing that it goes beyond material assistance and reflects the genuine care of the police for the community.
"Ang programang ito ay hindi lamang tungkol sa materyal na tulong. Ito ay simbolo ng malasakit ng ating mga pulis sa komunidad—na kahit sa simpleng paraan, ay maipadama natin na andiyan kami para sa kanila (This program is not just about providing material support. It is a symbol of the police’s care for the community—showing that, even in simple ways, they are there for the people),” he said.
“Para sa ating mga kabataan, huwag kayong panghinaan ng loob. Ang bawat tulong na natatanggap ninyo ay hakbang patungo sa inyong mga pangarap. Sa amin, mahalaga ang edukasyon at kabutihan ng bawat isa sa inyo (To our youth, stay encouraged. Every bit of help you receive is a step closer to your dreams. For us, your education and well-being are what matter most),” he continued.
On Dec. 16, 2025, the Rizal PPO, under the leadership of Col. Feloteo A. Gonzalgo, launched Project PHILEO, aimed at providing underprivileged elementary students in the province with guidance, support, and assistance, particularly in their education.
Aside from education, Project PHILEO also aims to provide students with support in their moral development and overall well-being. It also serves as a bridge uniting various sectors to help children who need additional attention and mentorship.
The program also reflects the PNP’s commitment not only to law enforcement but also to uplifting the community and nurturing the next generation, with every action intended to be felt, trusted, and genuinely helpful to the public.
