10 arrested in Cebu City drug den raids

CEBU CITY – Ten persons were arrested and two minors were rescued in two suspected drug dens raided by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas here on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

One of the suspected drug dens was discovered in Barangay Sambag 1 where the two minors were rescued. Arrested were the alleged drug den maintainer Gasya, 51, and his suspected accomplice, Peejey, 30.

Five persons, including a 32-year-old woman, were also arrested after PDEA-7 agents caught them sniffing shabu in the drug den.

The two minors, aged 12 and 16, were turned over to social workers.

Seized during the operation was eight grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P54,400.

Three persons were also arrested in the second drug den raided in Barangay Labangon.

Arrested were 45-year-old Alvin, the target of the operation, Tereso, 46, and Jaime, 24.

Seven packs of suspected shabu worth P68,000 were seized during the operation.
