No Cabinet revamp for now—Palace

Malacañang said there is no information so far on a rumored reorganization of President Marcos' Cabinet.
Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said they have yet to receive any information on a possible Cabinet revamp, saying it could just be a rumor.
"Wala pa po tayong natatanggap na anumang balita. Baka may nagpapakalat pero as of now, wala po (We have not received any information yet. There may be people spreading rumors, but as of now, there is none)," Castro said in a Palace briefing on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
Castro, however, said that the performance evaluation of all Cabinet officials is ongoing.
"Yes at sabi nga natin (and as what we said), we are making our performance at the discretion of the President," Castro said.
"So, depende na po 'yan kung ano po ang makikit ng Pangulo pero as of now, wala po tayong nababalitaan, wala pong ipinararating na magkakaroon po ng Cabinet revamp (So, it will depend on what the President sees fit, but as of now, we have not heard anything and no information has been conveyed that there will be a Cabinet revamp)," Castro added.
It can be recalled that in May last year, President Marcos ordered his Cabinet members to submit their respective courtesy resignations. It led to a major Cabinet revamp, replacing and moving secretaries of key government agencies.
In November last year, another round of Cabinet shakeup took place. It involved replacing the Executive Secretary and heads of Department of Finance (DOF) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) after they were linked to the flood control anomalies.
