Vice President Sara Duterte said she will appear at the preliminary investigation over a complaint filed against her by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Duterte confirmed that she will attend because she will need to take an oath.
"Yes, nagkausap na kami ng aking abogado with regard to sa counter affidavit matapos matanggap namin. Mag-appear ako dahil kailangan ko mag-oath (Yes, I have talk to my lawyer with regard to the counter affidavit. I will appear because I need to take an oath)," she said in an interview in Cagayan De Oro on Wednesday, April 30.
The Vice President did not disclose further details.
On Tuesday, she also revealed that she has been summoned by the Office of the Prosecutor based on the case filed against her by the NBI.
In February, the NBI filed grave threats and inciting to sedition charges before the Department of Justice (DOJ).
This was in connection with her previous remarks in November 2024 regarding hiring someone to assassinate President Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez if she herself gets killed.
