DOJ: Fallen, modern-day heroes inspirations to PH

Both fallen and modern-day heroes remain inspirations to the Philippines in its quests for justice and lasting peace, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said on Wednesday, April 9.

In a social media post, the DOJ said: “Ang kanilang dedikasyon ay isang patunay sa walang humpay na diwa ng kagitingan na nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa ating paghahangad ng kapayapaan at katarungan para sa lahat ng Pilipino (Their dedication is proof of their unwavering spirit of bravery that inspires us to desire peace and justice for Filipinos)."

“Kasama ninyo ang DOJ sa patuloy na pagtatrabaho para sa katarungan at kapayapaan ng bansa (The DOJ remains with you in our work for justice and peace in the country),” it added.

The DOJ issued the message on the Araw ng Kagitingan or Day of Valor which remembers the soldiers who fought during World War II.

The agency noted that it honors “ang mga bayani na nagbuwis ng kanilang buhay para sa kalayaan ng ating bansa (the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom).”

“Kinikilala rin natin ang mga modernong bayani na walang humpay na nagtatrabaho para sa katarungan at integridad ng ating bayan (We also recognize the modern-day heroes who never cease to work for justice and integrity for our country),” it added.
