NBI arrests father for 'sexual assault' of his 2 step daughters, own daughter
A father has been arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in San Pablo City in Laguna for the alleged sexual assault of his two step daughters and his own four-year-old daughter.
The NBI said the suspect, whose identity was withheld, was arrested in his residence in San Pablo City last March 31 during the operation conducted by its Cavite North District Office (NBI-CAVIDO North).
During the operation, the NBI said his four-year-old daughter was rescued.
“Cases for violations of Republic Act No. 8353 (Anti-Rape Law), RA No. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act), and RA No. 9208 as amended by RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012) were filed against the Subject before the inquest prosecutor of San Pablo City, Laguna,” the NBI said.
It said the NBI-CAVIDO North conducted the rescue operation based on the referral made by a non-government organization which acted on behalf of his two stepdaughters who escaped from his residence.
“According to the two step daughters, 19 and 14 years old, the incident started sometime in 2023 while they were staying in Subject’s house in San Pablo City,” the NBI said.
It said the daughters told investigators that their mother was working as an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Kuwait at that time.
“The sexual molestation usually happens while they were sleeping in their bedroom,” it also said.
It added that the step daughters told investigators that their step sister who was just four years of age was also not spared.
“The two step-daughters were able to free themselves from their sexually-perverted step-father and sought the assistance from the NBI since their four-year-old half-sister is still enduring repeated sexual and physical assault from the subject,” the NBI said.
“According to the two step daughters, Subject also uses prohibited drugs,” it added.
