The Sorsogon Police Provincial Office said roads are not passable due to the accumulation of ash on major routes.
Police reminded the people to avoid unnecessary travel to areas affected by ash fall and wear masks to protect yourself from inhaling ash particles.
Keep windows and doors closed to prevent ash from entering homes, police said, and most importantly, stay updated with official announcements from local authorities.
“Follow evacuation orders and remain in safe areas as advised by local government units and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology,” police said.
“Your safety is our priority. Please stay vigilant and take all necessary precautions,” the Sorsogon PPO added.
Thick ash was reported in the municipalities of Irosin and Juban.
Vlogger Miss Charoot said in her Facebook account that ash fall was experienced in Narangay Gulang-Gulang in Irosin town.
Sorsogon journalist Joey Gois said thick ash fall covered the houses and streets of Brangay Guruyan, Puting Sapa, and Buraburan in Juban.
Other areas affected were Barangay Tinampo in Irosin and the national highway in Juban, including Barangay San Francisco in Bulan.
Residents complained of foul odor from the ash fall.
Bulusan first erupted before dawn on Monday, April 28. It lasted for less than 30 minutes.
This latest eruption started at 7:43 p.m. and ended at 9 p.m.
