Dead man with gunshot wound on the head found in Antipolo canal

An unidentified man was found dead with a gunshot wound on the head in a canal in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo, Rizal on Wednesday, April 23.

The victim's body was discovered by a resident in the area, who immediately reported it to the authorities.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage in the area showed four men walking in Purok 4 at around 2 a.m. when suddenly, a man was heard pleading for his life.

"Wala po talaga akong kasalanan (I really did nothing wrong)," the man said.

Moments later, three gunshots were heard, followed by the three men fleeing the area, as captured again by the CCTV.

Barangay officials in the area stated that the victim was not a resident of their barangay. The authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Just recently, in the same barangay, seven people were stabbed to death.
