Halal heritage and culinary flavors take center stage at Robinsons Galleria's Hari Raya celebration

Robinsons Galleria is set to mark the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr with Mubarak, Hari Raya: A Celebration of Islamic Heritage in the Philippines and Beyond, a four-day event that places a strong spotlight on halal cuisine and regional food traditions. The event opens April 22, at 2 p.m. at Level 3, EDSA Wing, and runs through April 25.

At the heart of the celebration is a halal food bazaar that will bring together traditional dishes from across the Islamic world. Guests can expect authentic culinary offerings representing the rich food cultures of the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Iran and Malaysia. From slow-cooked stews to delicately spiced rice dishes and sweets, the bazaar highlights both everyday fare and festive recipes that reflect Islamic culinary heritage.

The event is organized in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and features the participation of various foreign diplomatic missions in Manila. In addition to food, the celebration includes artisanal crafts and cultural exhibits designed to foster a deeper appreciation of Islamic traditions in Southeast Asia and beyond.

The initiative underscores a broader move by retail spaces to embrace cultural diversity not just in service offerings, but in public programming that places value on culinary identity, faith, and community. Through Mubarak, Hari Raya, Robinsons Galleria invites visitors to experience Islamic culture through the shared language of food.
