Every year, the city’s international shrine, which is commonly referred to as the Antipolo Cathedral is filled with churchgoers during Palm Sunday.

During the anticipated Palm Sunday mass on April 12, the shrine was occupied by churchgoers holding palm leaves, referred to as “palaspas” even outside the church compound.

By tradition, thousands of mass goers visit the Antipolo Cathedral during this part of the year.

In Cardona, palaspas makers occupy the front portion of the gate leading to the Diocesan Shrine of the Our Lady of the Rosary.

Each palaspas costs around P35 or more depending on the design.
