5 drug dealers caught, P7.6-M shabu recovered in Cebu City

CEBU CITY – Five suspected drug pushers were arrested and shabu valued at P7.6 million was seized in buy-bust operations here on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The bulk of the contraband, a kilo worth about P6.9 million, was recovered from a 40-year-old man, Yori, in Sitio Langub, Barangay Kalunasan at past 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said Yori was also arrested in 2016 for drug peddling.

Hours later, a drug pusher was caught in Barangay Lorega San Miguel. Recovered from the 27-year-old suspect was 55 grams of shabu valued at P374,000.

Two more were arrested in Barangay Ermita, Jessie, 37, and Jesus, 24, who yielded 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000.

The fifth was apprehended shortly after midnight on Wednesday in Barangay Ermita. The suspect, Kloy-kloy, 18, yielded shabu valued at P136,000.
