Comedian Alex Calleja, whose show became a hit number one on streaming service Netflix, shared a screenshot of Aquino’s Nov. 9, 2017 press release on the Senate website highlighting the Free College Law.
“Bakit si Senator Bam Aquino? Libreng Tuition! Daig pa ang ayuda, kinabukasan ng inyong mga anak ang makikinabang! Pakisama po sa listahan niyo. Salamat (Why [support] Senator Bam Aquino? Free Tuition! It’s more than an aid, the future of your children will benefit! Please include in your list. Thank you),” the comedian wrote.
Curtis reposted Calleja’s endorsement of Aquino and added a “Yes!!!” comment, seemingly expressing her agreement to the former senator’s advocacies for education.
In 2022, the actress also endorsed the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem, which Aquino was the campaign manager of.
Actor Edu Manzano also expressed his support for Aquino’s campaign on his social media account.
"Sama-sama nating isulong ang Libreng Kolehiyo at Siguradong Trabaho para sa bawat pamilyang Pilipino. #5 sa Balota! AQUINO, BAM (Together, let us push for Free College and Guaranteed Job for every Filipino family. #5 in your ballot! AQUINO, BAM)!," he wrote.
Another very vocal celebrity supporter of the Aquino senatorial campaign is actress Bea Binene, who even went on a house-to-house campaign with Timi, the former senator’s wife, in Cebu City.
There, they informed the voters about Aquino’s plans to expand the Free College Law and his other advocacies.
Veteran talent manager and entertainment reporter Ogie Diaz also expressed his support for the former senator on his YouTube show, "Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update."
