When asked about romantic relationships, David mentioned that he is not currently focused on them. He feels that if he wins the local elections in May, he will no longer have a love life.

Actor-director David Chua has forgiven his father, Jerson Hummer, who passed away on March 21, even though he only saw twice in his life.
"I forgive him. I hope he does the same for me. Rest in peace, and I forgive him," said David when asked about his message for his father for the last time during an interview in Tondo, Manila, on March 22.
David, who is running for councilor in Manila's second district, said he is the 12th child among his father's 16 kids worldwide.
"I'm turning 36. The first time I saw him, I was 13. So we talked online. Until then, our relationship was minimal. There was no real conversation. I thought he was in the US. I believe we are 16 siblings, all eldest. We are of different races. Some are in the UK, Dubai, America, Qatar and others. I think I was the 12th among his 16 children," David said.
A caretaker of his father informed the actor that his father had passed away in Antipolo.
"Yesterday, I was told that he was gone. I went to Antipolo. We discharged him from the hospital because there was no money to pay. So I also took care of him. I also wanted to give him a proper burial," he said.
About his father, David said: "Our thoughts didn't match because he said that Andres Bonifacio and Jose Rizal were his friends. He even said that he could talk to UFOs. How can I relate to such talk because his timeline is different?"
David, director of the magazine show "Rated Korina," expressed regret about growing up without a father. Nevertheless, he managed to provide for himself and became a successful businessman and television director. "I grew up almost alone. But I don't want to think about that because I've recovered. So it's okay."
During lunch at his ancestral home in Tondo, David mentioned that this will be his first time entering politics.
The chinito hunk whose popular tagline is "Chua-ble," expressed his aspirations for Tondo, which is why he is entering politics.
"As a director, I'm always sent to different places. When they ask where I'm from, when I say Tondo, they're afraid to go. If they don't think Tondo is scary to go to? So I said maybe Tondo is not promoted enough.
"There's a stigma when you say Tondo. So, if I can promote other provinces, why can't I promote Tondo, where I grew up? That's what I'll do first: promote Tondo and then work. I also dream of having a Tondo expo," David added. He is also focused on promoting education as one of his advocacies.
When asked about romantic relationships, David mentioned that he is not currently focused on them. He feels that if he wins the local elections in May, he will no longer have a love life.
"There's no love life. Because when you get home, you're tired, and when you wake up, you'll wonder where the next step is. You'll be surrounded by dead people at baptisms and birthdays. Then you have caucuses. There's really no time left. You and your partner might not get along. Even if you're 35, 40, or 50 and I don't have a wife, it's okay," he added.
David will celebrate his birthday on March 26: His personal wish: I'll pray for my parents' souls. May they rest in peace. I also wish for health. However, I will accept whatever God gives me with my whole heart."
