"Ayos lang sa akin. Wala namang problema doon. Okay lang dahil nakatutok ako sa pagsisiyasat ng pagkuha kay FPRRD sa Pilipinas patungong the Hague. Unahin natin ang pagtanggol sa ating soberanya, kaysa sa pulitika't kampanya (It's fine with me. There's no problem with that. It's okay because I am focused on investigating the arrest of FPRRD and turnover from the Philippines to The Hague. Let's prioritize defending our sovereignty over politics and campaigning)," the senator said.

The presidential sister didn't show up for the big rally at the capitol grounds in Trece Martires. She wasn't mentioned by President Marcos during his endorsement speech.

This came after Senator Marcos led a Senate Committee on Foreign Relations investigation into the arrest of former president Rodrigo Duterte due to a warrant of arrest from the International Criminal Court (ICC) last March 11. The probe was critical of her brother's administration over what it called the "surrender" of Duterte.

Duterte is now being detained and tried by The Hague-based ICC for crimes against humanity in connection his administration’s bloody war on drugs.

Meanwhile, Senator Marcos admitted that she has not been in communication with her brother for a long time.

"Hindi na kami nag-uusap, matagal na (We haven't talked in a long time)," she said.

She added that they only have the chance to talk during public gatherings.

"Maraming nakapaligid sa kanya na humaharang sa aming mag-usap (A lot of people around him are preventing us from talking)," she stated.
