Style Weekend: H&T Wine Gallery unveils new dishes and a curated cocktail experience

By the end of the week, all you can do is indulge

Dining at H&T Wine Gallery feels like stepping into the world of a Wes Anderson film. With its mismatched furniture and eccentric design elements, the bistro could easily be one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Quezon City. But what keeps people coming back is its curated menu of worldly flavors, perfectly paired with an exceptional selection of wines and spirits. As it celebrates its fourth anniversary, its owners—fashion designer Happy Andrada and French sommelier Tanguy Gras—are ushering in a new chapter of meaningful dining with an exciting array of new menu items and drink options.

The couple unveiled their latest offerings through a celebration marking H&T Wine Gallery’s journey, alongside the 18th anniversary of Happy’s atelier, Fashion Art. The new menu features some top picks curated by chef Cyrille Soenen of Le Cordon Bleu-Ateneo de Manila and Ciçou à la Maison.

“Through tastings and following the recommendations of the Master Chef of France, we are happy to offer a featured menu with the chef’s renowned and favorite dishes,” Tanguy said. “We also have a lot more delicacies to choose from, perfectly paired with our selection of over 100 different wines by the bottle, as well as four wines by the glass that change twice a month.”

Setting the tone for the global fare was the first dish, Quiche Lorraine (P460). This classic French tart, though modest in size, is packed with flavor, thanks to its mix of bacon, egg, and cream. Next to grace the table was the Lamb Tajine (P1,450), a Moroccan-style braised Australian lamb dish. The meat was tender, fragrant, and best enjoyed with a side of couscous. One of the highlights of the dinner was the Black Truffle Rigatoni (P450). While pasta dishes are known for their comforting appeal, H&T Wine Gallery’s latest creation elevates the experience with a creamy, black truffle-infused sauce, topped with grated Manchego cheese. For dessert, the couple presented the Chocolate Fondant (P390), a decadent chocolate cake served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Beyond its exquisite food, H&T Wine Gallery also introduced its gin and tonic trolley, curated with the expertise of Simon Côté of High Proof. The goal is to provide guests with a premium cocktail experience before or after dinner, featuring spirits that offer a rich blend of complex flavors.

“Every day, we offer free-flowing wine and sangria because everyone loves indulgent experiences that never end,” Tanguy said. “Additionally, we have a Happy Hour daily from 4 to 6 p.m., where guests can enjoy a fantastic buy-one-get-one deal on wines by the glass, sangria, cocktails, and beers.”

Over the years, H&T Wine Gallery has hosted a variety of events, from monthly wine seminars to private tasting sessions. This April, it will launch its first Spotlight Sessions, kicking off with a stand-up comedy night on April 1, 2025, featuring Stanley Chi. The event aims to showcase how the bistro is the perfect venue for special occasions, intimate gatherings, or even casual weekend hangouts.

“Since our opening, we have hosted numerous private events, including team meetings, bridal showers, workplace get-togethers, birthdays, and more,” Happy said. “Each event can be tailored to the guests' preferences and budget.”

H&T Wine Gallery is located on the first floor of 24 K-D cor. K-1st Street, 11th Jamboree Ext., Quezon City. It is open Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
