YouTuber blamed by Kim Sae-ron’s family claims the actress got married in US

Lee Jin-ho, the YouTuber who is the subject of a police complaint for defamation filed by the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, claimed that the Korean actress got married in the US.

Last January, Kim Sae-ron uploaded a wedding pictorial concept photo on her social media account with the caption "Marry."

She was found dead last Feb. 16, actor Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday.

On his YouTube channel on March 19, Lee Jin-ho said “After checking the facts, it is true that she was married. Due to unavoidable circumstances, I am releasing a recording of the deceased,” Korean media reported.

The recording had two voices: an agency representative not from Gold Medalist (Kim Soo-hyun’s agency), and a woman who he claimed was Kim Sae-ron.

The woman in the recording said, "My boyfriend uploaded the wedding photos. It's true that we got married overseas. We originally planned to break up amicably, but we got married. I deleted them now. My boyfriend is an ordinary person who works at a large company in New York."

She said her boyfriend had her KakaoTalk (messaging app) and Instagram accounts, saying, "My boyfriend asked why I didn't tell anyone about our marriage.”

Lee Jin-ho claimed, “In the recording, the late Kim Sae-ron admitted that the photo was uploaded by her boyfriend and that they were indeed married. The bereaved family claims that the late Kim Sae-ron attempted an extreme choice after watching the video on my channel, but the deceased was with her husband in the United States at the time.”

He added, “The bereaved family is currently raising issues with her boyfriend from four years ago, Kim Soo-hyun. However, Kim Sae-ron herself was married to another man and was living her newlywed life.”

Kim Soo-hyun is under the spotlight due to the Kim Sae-ron issue. The YouTube channel HoverLab and the actress’ family said Kim Soo-hyun dated her when she was a minor, an allegation denied by Gold Medalist.

They also accused Gold Medalist of pressuring Kim Sae-ron to pay 686.4 million won (about $474,000), the amount of damages paid by the company to the production company of the Netflix series “Bloodhounds” after she was involved in a drunk driving incident in May 2022.

The law firm hired by Gold Medalist sent two certified letters to Kim Sae-ron about her debt.

HoverLab held a live broadcast on March 18 and uploaded a video showing Kim Sae-ron and a man in her apartment. HoverLab claimed the man was Kim Soo-hyun.
