Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel (PPAB)
Makabayan solon Kabataan Party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel says the embattled Dutertes shouldn't seek help from God to save them from their current predicament.
This, as Manuel chided former president Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte for invoking certain things after the elder Duterte was arrested in connection with his crimes against humanity charge before the International Criminal Court (ICC)
"Fundamental rights? Ngayon lang nila ito naalala pero tinrato nila na parang hayop ang mga kababayan natin sa ngalan ng 'giyera kontra droga' at 'giyera kontra terorismo'," Manuel said in a statement on Tuesday night, March 11.
(Fundamental rights? It's only now that they remember this after our countrymen were treated like animals in the name of the "war against drugs" and "war against terrorism".)
"Ginagamit lang nila ang 'sovereignty' at 'fundamental rights' -- pati si God -- kapag kailangan nila. Huwag silang umasa na isasalba sila ng Diyos na minsan na nilang minura," added the outspoken Manuel.
(They only use the terms "sovereignty" and "fundamental rights"--and even God--when they need them. They shouldn't expect to be saved by God whom they once cursed.)
The youth solon added: "Sana mas nagfo-focus ang impeached Vice President sa paghahanda sa Senate trial at sa posibilidad na umaksyon din ang ICC laban sa kanya dahil napangalanan din siya sa probe documents."

(The impeached Vice President should focus more on preparing for the Senate trial and for the possibility that the ICC would also act against her since she was also named in the probe documents.)
The ICC charge stemmed for the previous Duterte administration's bloody war on drugs, which--depending on source--resulted to the deaths of 6,000 to 30,000 people.
The House of Representatives impeached Vice President Duterte last Feb. 5.
