In the heart of every Filipino home, delicious food brings families together. But making meals both nutritious and enjoyable can often be a challenge—especially when it comes to getting kids to eat their vegetables.

To bridge this gap, Ajinomoto Philippines Corp. (APC Group) launched the I Love Veggie-Licious Barangay Caravan, an initiative designed to empower families with practical nutrition education, hands-on cooking demonstrations, and food sustainability tips.

After a successful first stop in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City, the second leg of the caravan took place in Barangay Holy Spirit, engaging more than 250 residents in a lively and interactive learning experience. Likewise, the third edition, held in Barangay Batasan Hills, reached even more families who benefited from the caravan’s educational activities. To date, the campaign has reached 700 participants across three barangays, with more communities set to benefit in the coming months.

Making Healthy Eating Easy, Tasty and Sustainable
The I Love Veggie-Licious Barangay Caravan is more than just a cooking demo—it’s a movement encouraging families to embrace healthier eating habits without sacrificing taste or budget. It offers a well-rounded learning experience designed to make nutritious meals both accessible and enjoyable for Filipino families.

The event features interactive cooking demonstrations that showcase easy, budget-friendly, and flavorful vegetable-based dishes tailored to Filipino tastes. These hands-on sessions aim to inspire participants to incorporate more nutritious meals into their daily routines.

Complementing the cooking demos are expert nutrition talks led by Ajinomoto Philippines’ Nutrition Advancement Manager Debbie Fajarda, who provides practical advice on creating balanced, family-friendly meals. To further reinforce sustainable eating habits, the caravan also includes discussions on APC Group’s “Too Good to Waste™” initiative, which educates families on reducing food waste and maximizing every ingredient to create wholesome, eco-friendly meals.

"Many Filipino parents want to serve healthier meals, but they often struggle with accessibility, preparation and making vegetables more appealing—especially for kids. Through this caravan, we help bridge that gap by sharing simple, effective ways to make nutritious eating a daily habit," Fajarda said during her talk at the event.

Among the participants was Mommy Maica, a content creator and mom-fluencer who shared her experience in a creative recap video. “It’s exciting to be part of an initiative that aligns with my journey as a mom. The ‘I Love Veggie-Licious Barangay Caravan’ didn’t just give us practical nutrition tips—it turned healthy eating into a fun and meaningful experience. Sharing this through content feels like storytelling to friends, making it even more enjoyable,” she said.
