The flash flood caused by heavy rain damaged the intake tank. Approximately 4,000 out of 10,500 households in the city proper were affected. Affected areas were Barangays 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Rizal.
Joe Alingasa Jr., head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said that water supply was initially restored late Tuesday night, Feb. 25.
The intake tank collects water from the river. Water is then processed and filtered before being distributed to households.
The city stopped rationing in affected areas after water supply normalized.
