Basti Flores

Basti Flores’ interest in technical production started during his younger years because his grandfather, Rogelio Flores, would always bring him to shootings and tapings. (nang mamulat si Eba?!)

“He used to work as a production designer. So he would bring me sa mga shoots dati nung bata ako.  Na-expose ako sa mga camera work. I would ask questions dun sa mga dating cinematographers, hanggang sa nakapa ko na how it works," Basti recalls (pakapa rin bro!)

He is now a certified cinematographer and camera operator for video production. “Basically sa commercials, I try not to be in the movies because di ko kaya yung work hours.” (di kita pupuyatin bro!)

Basti admits that he cannot rely on this job to meet his daily needs. “Project based siya. It’s kinda tough. Marami rin kasing magagaling na cinematographers at camera operators kaya bihira lang din minsan yung project ko." (gawa tayo project bro!)

He feels that cinematography is not a career for him. “Hindi ko talaga sya passion. Gusto ko talaga in front of the camera." (i-shoot na yan!)

This is why gym enthusiasts make time to audition for TV and online commercials. His most unforgettable gig so far was with actress Barbie Forteza. (baka ikaw na bagong Jak!)

“This was last year. It was for Ms. Barbie Forteza. Beauty line nya yun. Announcer ako dun. Yung theme ay Barbie and Ken. So parang announcer ako dun na Ken. So far yan favorite role ko." (parang favorite na kita bro!)

He has also tried appearing on the online streaming platform Vivamax.  “I supported the two leads. Naghubad ako pero siyempre di naman kita lahat. Hanggang butt lang. May full body exposure pero may takip namin yung private part.” (ay bakit may takip?! Chos!)

In his guest appearance on our Youtube show, WTFu,  the 25-year-old bachelor clarified that if he gets more sexy movies, he will only be comfortable working with female partners. He won’t accept gay films. (ako ba kaya mo i-accept bro?!)

“Kung landian lang naman kaya. Pero yung tipong may mouth to mouth na. Di ko kaya, not because I have a problem sa LGBT community. Marami akong friends na gay at trans, I love them. Pero, it is not for me," Basti explains. (parang love na kita bro!)
