TikTok has rolled out a new Time and Well-being Page, a dedicated in-app hub designed to help users unwind, reset, and develop healthier relationships with their screen time. As the leading platform for short-form mobile video, TikTok continues to expand its initiatives focused on safety, balance, and digital well-being, with particular emphasis on supporting teens and young users.
The new Time and Well-being Page brings together mindfulness tools, creator-led guidance, and interactive features that allow users to engage with the platform more intentionally. According to TikTok, the goal is not to limit creativity or connection, but to empower users to take greater control of how and when they use the app, ensuring that time spent online remains meaningful and positive.
To mark the launch, TikTok hosted a panel discussion in the Philippines that explored the importance of intentional digital engagement and how the new page offers practical strategies for everyday use.
The panel featured Bea Bautista, Head of Communications for TikTok Philippines; Peachy Paderna, Public Policy Manager for TikTok Philippines; and psychologist, digital wellness advocate, and creator Riyan Portuguez. The discussion highlighted TikTok’s proactive approach to online safety and its collaboration with experts to design tools that support mindful usage rather than rigid restrictions.
The Time and Well-being Page is accessible through the Account Settings section of the app. It is guided by academic research and built around the idea that a healthy relationship with technology is achieved through awareness, balance, and personal choice. TikTok emphasizes that digital spaces should foster joy, creativity, learning, and connection, especially for younger users navigating online environments daily.
At the core of the new page are five well-being tools designed to encourage reflection and self-regulation. One of these is an affirmation journal that allows users to set daily intentions, with more than 120 affirmation cards available for download or sharing. Another feature is the soothing sound generator, which offers calming audio such as rainfall, ocean waves, and white noise to support relaxation and emotional regulation. The breathing exercises tool guides users through simple mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress, improve focus, and encourage intentional pauses during the day.
Beyond individual tools, the Time and Well-being Page also introduces Well-being Missions, which use interactive and game-like elements to promote mindful habits, particularly among teens. These missions reward users with badges as they complete tasks, reinforcing positive digital behaviors and helping users gradually build healthier routines. The page also includes creator-led videos that explain how to use the well-being features effectively, set screen time limits, and explore TikTok’s Family Pairing options for added parental guidance.
Complementing the launch are four new Well-being Missions aimed at encouraging intentional technology use. The Sleep Hours Mission motivates users to step away from TikTok at night and practice meditation during designated sleep hours, allowing them to grow a virtual Well-being Tree over an eight-week period. The Daily Screen Time Mission challenges users to set and follow a personal screen time limit, while the Weekly Screen Time Mission encourages reflection on overall usage patterns. The Well-being Ambassador Mission promotes community engagement by rewarding users who invite friends to participate in the missions.
Together, the Time and Well-being Page and its accompanying missions provide structured yet flexible ways for users to pause, reflect, and build healthier digital habits. With these updates, TikTok reinforces its commitment to creating a safer, more mindful online environment where users can enjoy content while maintaining balance in their digital lives.
