At Discovery Resorts, the holidays are marked less by spectacle and more by what gathers people together. Across Boracay and Coron, the festive season begins with stories, continues through the kitchen, and lingers long after dinner plates are cleared.
At Discovery Boracay, the Christmas season officially began on Nov. 15 with a tree lighting ceremony marking the resort’s 18th year on the island. The theme, “Eighteen Christmases Together,” reflected years of shared celebrations with guests, families, and the local community. The evening set the tone for the weeks ahead, where food, familiarity, and island warmth take center stage.
Dining anchors much of the celebration. At Sands Restaurant, classic Filipino holiday flavors arrive early, with bibingka and puto bumbong available daily beginning Nov. 15. As Christmas approaches, the restaurant hosts a series of dinner feasts that move from tradition to global influences. Noche Buena and International Holiday Fare are served on Dec. 24 and 25, followed by Mediterranean Night on Dec. 28, a Chinese Banquet on Dec. 29, and a Western Visayas inspired feast on Dec. 30. On New Year’s Eve, guests can head to Forno Osteria for Boun Anno, a Tuscan themed dinner to close the year.
Beyond the table, families can join Holiday Crafts and Cheers at The Sandbox Kids’ Room from Dec. 20 to 25, while those seeking downtime can book the Holiday Pampering experience at Terra Wellness Spa. The three hour treatment, available throughout December, includes a massage, a scrub or wrap, and a facial.
The season culminates on Dec. 31 with “Eighteen and Beyond,” Discovery Boracay’s New Year’s Eve celebration. Guests begin the evening with dinner at Sands Restaurant or Andros before moving to the beachfront for the countdown and festivities.
Further south, Discovery Coron welcomes the season with its own blend of food, community, and island tradition. The resort’s Christmas tree lighting on Nov. 21 carried the theme “Together at Christmas,” highlighting the connections between guests, staff, and neighboring communities. This year’s celebration featured a story from the resort’s Cheers for Chairs initiative, which supports public school classrooms in nearby barangays.
Food once again plays a central role throughout the holidays. From Dec. 16 to 31, guests start their mornings at Firefish Restaurant with the resort’s Signature Hot Choco. Afternoons at Sinag Restaurant turn nostalgic, offering Pinoy Festive Treats such as freshly cooked bibingka and puto bumbong, local sorbetes, and pasalubong favorites including ensaymada, pastillas, and yema pandesal.
Seasonal drinks are also part of the experience. Holiday Spirits, featuring a Pineapple Margarita and an Amaretto Citrus Mix, are served at Dugong Bar and Firefish Lounge throughout December. Guests may also purchase discounted dining vouchers in P1,000 and P2,000 denominations for use during their stay.
Christmas Eve at Discovery Coron brings families together by the beachfront for a Noche Buena filled with Filipino classics and desserts. On Dec. 25, the celebration continues with a Christmas Day Buffet showcasing a global spread that includes oven baked beef brisket, crispy pork roll, and a selection of holiday sweets.
Discovery Coron's festive feast offers
Wellness offerings run alongside the feasts. Glow Spa offers Holiday Pampering throughout December, with discounts for pre booked treatments and additional savings for higher value services.
The year ends with One Epic Night on Dec. 31, Discovery Coron’s New Year’s Eve countdown celebration. Guests gather for a generous dinner buffet before the beachfront transforms into a lively stage, featuring live music, DJs, and performances by dancers and fire artists.
Across both islands, Discovery Boracay and Discovery Coron frame the holidays around shared meals, familiar flavors, and moments spent together. Whether through a plate of bibingka, a long holiday dinner, or a quiet cup of hot chocolate by the sea, the season unfolds at a pace that feels personal, warm, and unmistakably island rooted.
