Korean dining culture finds a new home in Manila as Daily Beer opens its first Philippine branch at Arcovia City. Known in Korea for pairing craft beer with crispy fried chicken, the 100 seat restaurant introduces the country’s beloved chimaek tradition to diners seeking bold flavors and a social dining experience.
The concept is brought to the Philippines by Opulence Prime Ventures Inc., the master franchisor behind Mala King Premium Hotpot, which also operates in Arcovia City. Daily Beer’s arrival adds another Korean driven dining destination to the area, built around the idea that beer and food are best enjoyed together.

“Daily Beer isn’t just about serving craft beer and chicken; it’s also about bringing people together,” says OPV Chairman Kirkland Whang. “We want people to come in, enjoy great food, share good laughs, and create memories they’ll look back on years from now. The kind where you turn to your friends and say, ‘Remember that night at Daily Beer…?’”
Founded in May 2014, Daily Beer Co., LTD began with a straightforward goal of combining Korea’s love for fried chicken with a high quality craft beer program. “We wanted a brand that lets people enjoy quality craft beer every day and close to home while keeping prices fair for top tier beer and chicken. It’s about access without lowering standards,” says Daily Beer Korea CEO Sang Jin Lim.

Over the past twelve years, the brand has grown into one of Korea’s leading beer chains by maintaining full control over brewing, distribution, marketing, and store operations. This integrated approach allows Daily Beer to deliver consistent quality across its offerings. “Our beer experts and chicken specialists built a fresh take on chimaek and over the last twelve years the brand has grown into a leading beer brand in Korea,” Lim says.
At the Arcovia City branch, guests can explore a wide selection of craft beers, including Red Lager, often favored by first time craft beer drinkers, and Ginseng Lager brewed with Korean wild yeast. The lineup also includes generously hopped IPAs, classic styles such as Weizen and Pale Ales, and popular Korean favorites like highballs and the Somaek Soju Bomb. For those unsure where to start, beer flights featuring five different selections are available. “We’ve prepared a broader lineup we think Filipinos will enjoy,” Lim adds.
“We’re not in the business of selling ‘a drink to get drunk,’” he says. “We’ll keep introducing a broader, higher quality spectrum of beers that invite discovery and deliver global caliber offerings that passionate beer drinkers are looking for.”
Food plays an equally important role in the Daily Beer experience. The menu is built around fried chicken designed specifically to pair with beer. The signature Daily Chicken is a staple, while the Angry Bird fried chicken stands out for its bold seasoning. “We built it to be at its best with beer, shatter crisp outside, tender inside, and dialed in for pairing,” Whang explains. “The spiciness of the fried chicken has been adjusted to comfortable Filipino tastes and preferences.”
“Beyond beer, our fried chicken is renowned in Korea,” Lim says. “We obsess over food pairings that elevate the beer and an authentic Korean chimaek culture. Everything is reconsidered, how we brine, how we fry, how we season. We’ve long believed chicken is the most beer friendly food.”
The menu also includes Korean comfort dishes such as Gimbap, Tteokbokki, and Chicken Gangjeong, alongside Cheese Balls, Chewy Doughnut, and Crispy Pastry Honey Hotteok for those looking to end the meal on a sweet note. Prices for Daily Chicken range from 550 to 950 pesos, typically good for sharing among three to four people.

While popular with barkadas and office groups, Daily Beer positions itself as a family friendly destination as well. The atmosphere is lively but welcoming, designed to encourage conversation and connection. “Beer is one of the best ways people connect; it’s about connection, not intoxication,” Lim says.
With its Arcovia City opening, OPV is already preparing additional branches at SM Fairview later this December and at Paseo Parkview in Salcedo, Makati, in April 2026. Both Whang and Lim also share plans to strengthen exchanges between the Philippines and Korea through selective collaborations with local breweries, with future offerings shaped by Filipino guest feedback.
Daily Beer’s entry into Manila signals more than just another restaurant opening. It marks the arrival of a dining culture centered on sharing, flavor, and moments best enjoyed over fried chicken and a cold glass of beer.
