Vice President Sara Duterte's plan to fight against greed of certain high-ranking officials in the government should start in her office, Malacañang said.

"Okay. Siguro unahin po muna natin sa OVP. Iyon lang po (Okay. Maybe we should start with the OVP first. That’s all)," Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Castro said this in a Palace briefing when sought to comment on the recent statement of the Vice President on fighting against greed.

"Mga kababayan, patuloy tayong lalaban sa kasakiman ng mga iilang mataas na opisyal ng ating pamahalaan ( My fellow citizens, we will continue to fight against the greed of a few high-ranking officials in our government)," Duterte said in a video statement.

"Patuloy namin na ipapakita sa inyo na ang Tanggapan ng Pangalawang Pangulo ay mahalaga sa amin ang pagkakaroon ng plano, mahusay na implementasyon ng proyekto, paglaban sa korapsyon, at tapang at malasakit para magkaroon ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran sa ating bayan (We will continue to show you that, for us in the Office of the Vice President, it is important to have a plan, effective project implementation, the fight against corruption, and the courage and compassion needed to achieve peace and progress in our country)," she added.
