LA Union Christmas tree.
SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The “Naragsak a Paskua” Christmas village will open on Monday, Dec. 1, featuring a 17-meter giant Christmas tree with almost 900 “parols” (Christmas star) at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco Ortega Convention Center Complex.
Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega invited the public to visit the Christmas village.
“I’m sure everyone will have a wonderful time during your visit. We want people to feel the Christmas spirit even without spending a lot, and to experience genuine happiness," he said.
“We brought the Christmas Village to this new location to avoid traffic in the town center. This area is more spacious and can accommodate more visitors," the governor added.
Ortega is optimistic that this will boost economic activities.
The Christmas stars were made by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) from the La Union Provincial Jail.
