The protesters marched to the Mendiola Peace Arch as the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee continued its inquiry into supposed irregularities in flood control projects.
Rallyists carried placards with messages such as “Wakasan ang bulok na sistema (End the rotten system).”
“Kurakot managot! (Corrupt officials must be held accountable).”
“Ikulong mga kurakot! (Jail the corrupt).”

Ahead of the rally, members of the Manila Police District (MPD) placed barbed-wire barricades around the arch to manage the crowd and secure the area.
The protest ended peacefully at 3:10 p.m., with participants renewing calls for transparency and stronger oversight in the use of public funds.
Meanwhile, the MPD has begun preparations for the upcoming three-day anti-corruption demonstrations, releasing a traffic management plan on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in anticipation of larger crowds next week.
