When I recently got the invitation to host the premiere night of Gladys Reyes’ movie at SM Megamall Cinema, I told myself, “Ay sampalan ito.” (bilang primera kontrabida ang ate mo!) But I was wrong. During the briefing, the production team revealed that it is a musical film titled "The Heart of Music." (anong kaguluhan ito?! singer-singeran ang Gladys dito!)
Gladys plays the character of Madonna, who gives inspiration in the story (na kulota Barbie ang hair nya by Jennifer Sevilla!) Joining her in the film are international theater actors and power couple Robert Sena and Isay Alvarez (kabog ang Miss Saigon ha!) Rey PJ Abellana, Marissa Sanchez, Angel Guardian, Elijah Alejo, Jon Lucas, Sean Lucas, Jenny Gabriel, and real-life sweethearts Joshua Zamora at Jopay Paguia. (may spaghetti pataas at pababa ba?!)
The award-winning actress had singing parts in the movie "Unspoken Letters," released two years ago. (pero kontrabida pa rin sya dun!) But this is her first time doing a full-length musical. (walang makaka-awat!)

According to Gladys, the musical has been a dream project. She really wants to try theater, but she treasures this opportunity in the film. (so baka bukas on stage na sya!)
She arrived at the premiere night with her husband, Christopher Roxas, her son, Christophe (ke popogi ha!), and her good friend, actress Carmi Martin. Members of the Cast and Crew of her GMA series, Cruz vs Cruz, were present. Her avid fans, who had started supporting her during her Mara Clara stint, also showed their support. (nasampal na kaya sila ni Gladys?!)
"The Heart of Music" will be shown in theaters next month. It is directed by Italian filmmaker Paolo Bertola and written by Direk Mario Alaman. (magkakalaman na kung anong hatid na swerte ng kulot na wig ni Gladys!)
