The Caloocan City government conducted a bomb threat management seminar on Sunday, Oct. 19, to enhance its emergency preparedness following a series of bomb threats at the Caloocan City Hall and several public schools.
According to the Public Information Office (PIO), the activity was organized in coordination with the Philippine National Police–Explosive Ordnance Disposal (PNP-EOD) unit and its Canine Group.
The seminar focused on the proper procedures for identification, detection, and first response in bomb threat situations.
The city government said the initiative was part of the local government’s response to the Oct. 15 bomb threats that disrupted operations in various public offices and schools.

The event was participated in by personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD), security staff, and DRRM marshals stationed at City Hall participated in the training.
The local government said the seminar aims to strengthen the city’s readiness, ensure prompt coordination among responders, and uphold the safety of employees and residents in case of similar incidents in the future.
