CEBU CITY – A top medical school here has once again produced topnotchers.
Two graduates from the Cebu Institute of Medicine (CIM) are among the Top 10 passers in the October 2025 Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE), according to the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Jorel Franco Antone Tangpuz secured the fourth spot with a rating of 89.42 percent while Abigail Christine Sim landed at eighth place with a passing rate of 89 percent.
The PLE was held in multiple testing centers on Oct. 4, 5, 11, and 12. Testing centers were in National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
The PRC said that the number of passers this year was one of the highest national passing rates in recent years with 4,570 of the 5,900 hurdling the exam.
Results were released just four working days after the last exam day.
The PRC said results for three examinees were withheld, one pending the determination of liabilities and two awaiting required document submissions.
The PRC reminded that online registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards and Certificates of Registration will start on Nov. 24, 2025.
