Caloocan police declare all areas safe after bomb inspection; classes, work resume

The Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) has declared all areas with bomb threats as cleared following inspections by the bomb squad on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
CCPS chief Col. Joey Goforth led the inspections and confirmed that no explosive devices were found in any of the reported locations.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan ordered police operatives to continue patrols and increase visibility around schools and government facilities to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and parents.
With the situation under control, classes and government work in Caloocan resumed on Thursday, Oct. 16.
The city government reminded the public not to spread or make false bomb threats, emphasizing that such acts are punishable by law.
Authorities are now investigating the source of the bomb threat.
