BAGUIO CITY - Mayor Benjamin Magalong suspended classes here following an earthquake that rocked La Union and environs on Thursday morning.
Magalong cancelled classes from pre-school to K-12, except for universities where the school administration will decide.
Also canceling classes were neighboring towns in Benguet province.
No injuries or damage to infrastructure were reported from the earthquake as of posting time.
City Building Official Architect Johnny Degay said technical personnel of the City Buildings and Architecture Office are coordinating with administrators of schools, malls, and private and public buildings to ensure the integrity of their structures following the earthquake.
