I want to thank the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), headed by Direk Joey Reyes, for including me in its various celebrations. (baka magka-movie na ako nyan!)
Last Saturday, I hosted the closing ceremony of Philippine Film Industry Month, titled "Pelikula at Pilipino," at Robinsons Manila. (ako na ang may ambag sa film industry!) I was with Amy Perez in this hosting stint. (I love you, Tyang!) I was so excited to do this with her because I worked with her for years on TV5. We always have that natural chemistry on stage. (feeling ko nga ako si Roderick Paulate!) The program showcased via screen presentation FDCP’s month-long celebration, including the awarding of female personalities who contributed to the success of the Philippine movie industry. (wala ako sa list ha!) Singers Jason Dy and Lara Maigue also performed a television show-inspired production number. (parang gusto ko maging bro si Jason!) One of the highlights of the celebration was the special appearance of PBB collab housemates: Esnyr, Michael Sager, Will Ashley and River Joseph. (na pwede na nila akong maging tito!)
Organizers invited them to entertain loyal supporters of Pinoy films. (at para pasayahin ako!) I admit I never had a chance to watch a single episode of their PBB edition. (suplada?!) However, I am aware of their phenomenal popularity, and I personally witnessed it during the event. (kung paano sila dumugin at maghiyawan to the highest level ang mga fans!) They would receive non-stop selfie requests (while enjoying food and handmade artworks from fans!) We had “kilig moments” during their impromptu acting activity. Esnyr and Michael chose to do a drama scene. (ako ang third party?!) River opted to do some action moves. (ako ang leading lady ha!) I played Ate Vi for Will, who wanted to be Carlo Aquino in the movie "Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa?" (ako na feeling star for all seasons!) They also took time to join three sets of games with their fans. (na akala ko hihimatayin sa sobrang saya!) Congratulations, FDCP! (mahal ko na ata si River!)
