Suspect in murder of PWD in Batangas shot dead

SAN JUAN, Batangas – A woman and her live-in partner suspected of murdering and burning a Person with Disability in Barangay Barualte here last month were killed and wounded by four gunmen on Sunday night, Jan. 5.

Police identified the fatality as Teodora Galora Galino and the wounded as Arcangel Armamento Patal, both 53.

Investigation said that the couple was in their house when the suspects – Andrew, Nemecio, Herma, and an unidentified companion – who were neighbors of the victims arrived and barged inside. 

One of the suspects shot the victims and Galino died on the spot. The suspects escaped and Patal was taken to a hospital here.

The victims allegedly killed and chopped the body of Mary Jane de los Reyes, 33, near their house on Dec.  16, 2024.

They were arrested days later for murder but were released after no case was filed against them.

A follow-up operation is underway against the suspects.
